When playing something the size of WOW maps are essential. I think this is bourne out by the fact that when Blizzard first created World of Warcraft, they didn’t see fit to include maps of all the lower level dungeons for example. Now this could be seen as being particularly annoying because those dungeons are a lot longer and more winding than most of the level 80 dungeons. Therefore you really have to know where you’re going in these lower level dungeons, which is a major problem because most players have never played them. Fortunately, thanks to Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide (part of his phenomenally successful Ultimate WOW Strategy Guide) , you’ll be able to find your way through with the in-game wow maps. Leveling with the dungeon finder is a lot easier when you have maps to help you find your way.

This is a perfect example where having a proper guide actually enhances gameplay as opposed to diminishing it. Think of it as like shining a torch into a cave. You will experience far more as a result but you still play leading part in the exploration.
Maps in any form are a utility to be used as an aide not the solution, otherwise there would be no point playing the game at all. All you would do is just switch it on and then watch the game role out in front of you. If you want the sedantry life then stick to Coronation Street.
Another important feature of a dungeon leveling guide is the listing of all the dungeon quests. The best way to maximize the amount of experience you earn from every single instance run is by completing the quests for them, but sometimes it can be very difficult trying to figure out where to pick up the quests. In fact, some of these dungeon quests have prerequisite quests which much be completed on your own before you can be eligible to even accept the quests for the dungeons. A dungeon leveling guide will help you figure out where you need to go and what solo quests you need to complete before you can accept the dungeon quests.
Criticism?
Unfortunately Dugi hasn’t managed to produce a 3D mapping add-on (as yet) which can be problematic when running up and down the steps in the dungeons, however he has managed to find a way round it which the following video points out. It also gives you a good opportunity to discover for yourself the level of detail in the maps incorporated into the guide
Now all I can suggest is that if you are seriously looking for wow maps to help you negotiate your way through all 85 levels of this amazing mmorpg you should seriously consider grabbing yourself a copy of Dugi’s Ultimate WOW Guides
